A joint initiative of Meta Aide Consult and Noteworthy Days Productions, helping small and medium-sized businesses strengthen the way they run, with better processes and practical AI and digital tools.
The SME Growth Lab brings together practical business improvement, quality management, process thinking and accessible digital and AI tools.
The focus is not simply on teaching business owners about AI. It is about helping you identify real business problems, understand the processes behind them, and explore practical solutions you can test and improve.
Many SMEs are working hard to grow while juggling everyday pressures. Digital and AI tools can help, but only when they are connected to a business process that is understood and reliable.
You should leave with a clearer view of one business challenge, a practical tool or approach to address it, and a realistic next step.
SME owners, entrepreneurs, founders, business managers and professionals who want their businesses to be more organised, responsive and ready to grow.
No technical background is needed. Sessions are designed for beginners, with useful ideas for more experienced business owners too.
We draw on Total Quality Management principles, kept practical and free of jargon.
Understand what customers need and where their experience breaks down.
Make important tasks and handovers clearer, more consistent and easier to repeat.
Use relevant information and simple measures rather than relying only on assumptions.
Recognise the knowledge and constraints of owners, staff and customers.
Test changes, review the results, learn and adjust.
Name the real business problem.
Choose one small, practical change.
Try it in the business.
Look at what happened, then adjust.
We also use responsible AI habits throughout: check what a tool gives you, protect confidential business and customer information, and apply your own judgement.
At the first session, participants will be invited to complete a short SME Growth and Readiness Assessment covering business profile, management practices, operational challenges, technology use, AI readiness and the kind of support that would help most.
Taking part is voluntary. We won't ask for sensitive financial or customer information, and agreeing to the assessment is kept separate from agreeing to hear from us in future.
Insights from the first session will shape a pathway that supports SMEs from understanding their needs to making and sustaining improvements, with follow-up advisory support to review progress along the way.
Identify strengths, gaps and priorities in your business.
Focused sessions on practical business needs.
Process mapping, standard operating procedures and simple performance measures.
Tools matched to a need you have actually identified.
We are not trying to impress SMEs with technology. We are helping them understand their businesses, solve meaningful problems, and build better ways of working.
Save your place at the first session on 6 November. Want to partner with us or sponsor a future session? Send us a note.
